'I ordered £3 Temu Christmas decoration and couldn't believe what turned up'

A woman was left gobsmacked after a £3 Christmas decoration she ordered from Temu turned out to be nothing like what she expected. She was drawn in by an advert on the website, which showcased a heavily discounted item, slashed from £13 to just £3.

After perusing the product's photos, she decided to snap up the bargain, thinking it would make a lovely Christmas present. However, she was completely taken aback by what actually arrived in the post and took to social media to share her "massive Temu fail."

In a TikTok video, user @theaddisonslife revealed: "This is what I ordered, I thought it would make a nice gift for my aunties at Christmas.

"I thought it was going to be a little carousel decoration like this picture."

She then showed viewers the reality of what she received - a plastic disc with the picture printed onto it.

She continued: "Are you ready for this? It's a plastic disc. It does have a berth to stand on. Not quite a moving carousel, is it? Temu fail."

Reacting to her post, one user shared: "My daughter ordered us all stockings for Xmas... they were the size of babies' socks."

Another user chimed in: "That's actually hilarious." A third user confessed: "Mine turned out to be a window sticker."

One more user added: "I can believe it! Temu fails are the best. A lady who ordered a big red bow for her door got a banner of the door with the ribbon."

Meanwhile, another user claims she only has herself to blame for not reading the product's description. They said: "You didn't read the deception. Y'all should stop blaming Temu for your mistakes."

Adding to this, one user said: "I don't buy anything from Temu unless there's reviews with photos or video."

A final user chimed in: "There's tons of those, it'll say 2D and loads of metal signs of things."

On the website, the product is described as "2D Flat, 2D Flat Enchanting Carousel Christmas Decoration - Perfect Holiday Gift for Friends and Family, Suitable for Living Room, Bedroom & 11 Festive Scenes, 2D Flat Design."

However, it only has 3.8 stars out of 5 as it seems other users experienced the same issue, with one saying: "It doesn't match the photos."

One more added: "Very beautiful pattern, I just thought it wasn't flat plastic."

Whereas others claim they're "happy with this item" and say it's a "cute little carousel for gifts".
